Every now and then big prints or big embellishments catch my attention. I often even prefer the small prints of 6x6 papers and small things to decorate my layout so when I found this collection – Printshop from Studio Calico with both big prints and a huge Ampersand I was sold.
I started making the background with stencils, distress ink and a water brush and then some stamping before I layered the papers and stitched them together.
The collection isn’t necessarily meant for fall pictures, but with some extra pink papers I captured the colors in the photo of my 4 year old jumping up and down (which the title says) on the leaves in the trampoline
Now it's up to you.....off to find some non-fall-papers to make your own fall project.

Bokforside

My Creative Scrapbook November kit tutorials
Todays post shows the tutorials I have made for My Creative Scrapbook using the November main kit.
I guess many of you have some old stitching templates lying around- I know I do - I have had this once since 2008..... and with stitching being trendy again - why not pull them out.
You need the template, some floss or embroidery thread (4 of 6 threads), a sharp thing to make the holes and something soft under the paper where you make the hole - I used some old foam.
First you place the template where you want to be and start making holes.
With such a dark paper it's not very easy to find the holes so put the template over several times to find the holes and start stitching.
Here is the finished stitches.
Thought I would also show you the background made with a template and gold paint.

Have fun with leaves - for the next layout I want to show you to have some fun with dies with leaves.
First you cut out lots of leaves in different sizes
Then you bend the edges a little
Then you pile them all together and staple them to the cardstock
Next thing is to cut out pieces of the cardstock to stick in between the leaves.

A few closeups to show you to put stickers and chipboard in between too.

Sur - Pink Paislee
Today I will show a layout posted on the Pink paislee blog a few weeks back - and watch out - I have more Color Wash layouts coming in the blog today.
Don’t you just love all the canvas decorations that come with the Color Wash Collections, why not make your own too?
First, I cut out a piece of sticky-back canvas and with a grey stamp pad, I stamped right onto the canvas with the Sentiment Series stamps.
Here you can see the final result with the Sentiment stamp that says, ”I love you so much”.
On the background of the paper, I prepared the background with clear gesso, and the blue is water mixed with water with a water brush. Here and there are a few touches of grey distress stain. (Distress stain is also used on the tag that says hello.)
My second tip of the day concerns distress stains – they are cool to stamp with and goes also very well with the Color Washed look. Underneath, you see which stamp I used with the distress stain. This one is from the Color Wash stamps.
I made the stamping to look very subtle (on top of mist and other distress stain).
I added the title over the top.
And finally, a close up!
I hope I have inspired you a little to start stamping on different medias to get a watercolor look.
