Citrus Twist Kits - December layouts

For some reason I thought I had made a blogpost with all my projects for publication earlier this month, but for some reason that didn't happen.

So here are three of my my Citrus Twist Kits layouts... Look in the Citrus Twist kits blog on the 27th, my turn this month.

I have used both the main kit, embellishment kit and the Add-on kit.

ArtWorkshop Kit Club - November kit

Sharing my two layouts with the November Kit from ArtWorkshop Kit Club. Kits available here.

I used gold embossing powder together with the stamps in the kit on the paper bag and I used

I used a puffy velvet pen to mimic snow on the title.

I often make backgrounds prior to making the layouts and I had a yellow background that I thought would match grey and yellow papers in the kit.

I used silver paint to cut the laser cut ornament.

I used the snow flake stamps to both emboss on the white cardstock and on the acrylic star. Just be careful and not heat it too close.

Layout for Shimelle

This layout was featured on the Shimelle.com blog last week.

The idea for this page came after looking through my many backgrounds and finding one that would make the many colors in this collection pop even more by layering them and adding multiple drops of mists in all the colors found in the papers, the girly pics where chosen to I could finally use the “lovely” die in the collection.

Video tutorial - Mixing stamps, stencils and rubons - Citrus Twist Kits

Today I will share a little tutorial on how I mix watercolor effects with stencils, stamps and this months lovely rubons from the Citrus Twist Kits November main kit and embellishment kit.

I am a little camera shy so you will not here my voice, but I hope you will be able to follow what I do anyway.

As the little text in the start of the video says, I started to prep the ordinary white cardstock with clear gesso. You might wonder why I use clear gesso and not white gesso and I can think of at least 2 reasons. One is that white gesso come out as yellow on the white cardstock and that the colors mixes better with the clear gesso than the white.   The clear gesso is not smooth like white gesso.

Here you can see the finished layout and some closeups

Some October layouts part 2

I have actually been pretty creative a few days in October.  I made 8 layouts at a crop one weekend. The week after was pretty unproductive though. I don't know if I drained my creativity with the crop, or that I get a little tired after a full weekend - friday evening to Sunday afternoon with a full room of other scrappers and sleeping on an inflatable bed.....  OR that I have become a too social scrapper and that I would love to have someone to scrap with everyday......  It might even be a mix...   I know I would love to meet up to scrap more often, and I am very sorry that I don't know any local scrappers to meet up with. All crops have been around 1 hour away in three different directions.   So if you live in or around Røyken and is interesting in coming here and scrap - you are very welcome...

So here are lots of layouts...

Layout made with the Shimelle collection from American Crafts

Next layout - Fancy Pants designs - and October sketch

Last a layout made with mostly the Open Book collection from Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes) I have ordered more from it, so I am ready to make more.
